CV Protek Took Part in Conference of International Federation of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers
Dmitry Pogrebinsky, General Director of CV Protek (State Corporation Protek) took part in the regular Conference of the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers (IFPW) which took place on May 10 in London, UK. Since March 2017 CV Protek is member of the IFPW.
One of the items on the agenda of the conference programme was the presentation by Dmitry Pogrebinsky “Deep Dive into Russian Pharmaceutical Market” which was devoted to the economic situation in the country and the growth vectors of the domestic pharmaceutical market.
“In current conditions we can observe three main distribution strategies. The first one is diversification and ecosystem building, reform of logistics infrastructure including the reduction of the number of branches and warehouses, processes automation. The second one is work concentration in specific regions, the third one is specialization along specific product groups. CV Protek chooses the first option. On results of year 2018, CV Protek has been recognized as the No. 1 Distributor in Russia by analyst companies,” Dmitry Pogrebinsky noted.
The participants, who also included representatives from Imperial Health Sciences, TraceLabs (a research arm of Marshal8e6, a company located in California), Nephron Research, MSD International, Philips Pharma, and Walgreens Boots Alliance have discussed the trends of online pharmacies and e-commerce development as well as their impact on the world’s key markets.
“The International Federation of Pharmaceutical Wholesalers brings together the largest international distributors from 19 countries. In the first place, the participation in the association’s work is valuable for CV Protek for the opportunity to share experiences, to represent the interests of Russian distributors on the international level and to discuss general issues and pharmaceutical distribution development trends with foreign colleagues.”, Dmitry Pogrebinsky noted.
